I learned about this event somewhere between 1996 and 1997. When I came from city of Vladimir, where I used to work, to get some educational materials from the Model School of Tomorrow (former name of the International School of Tomorrow), I met Len Stolyarchuk and Michael Showalter.

They told me about the idea of conducting the first convention of the School of Tomorrow in the CIS and Baltic States. It sounded quite interesting; however no one understood how it would happen and no one imagined it would become a twenty-five year long story.

At 10 am (MT) we will have Russian Brain Ring for Senior category.

At 11 am (MT) we will have Listening Comprehension for Senior category.

The Convention is moving forward!

On March 17 we had more competitions of the Regional Student Convention at the International School of Tomorrow.

Junior Category students participated in the Russian and English Brain Ring. Through zoom students from ISOT (Moscow), Gymnasium # 94 (Ekaterinburg), Vesnushki school (Minsk) answered the questions from national and School of Tomorrow programs. It was a fun learning experience.

So who won? We already know it and will officially announce the results at the Award Ceremony in April 2021.

All other events must be emailed by March 19 with all the required documents.

Today the first events of the Spring Round of the Regional Student Convention took place. Students from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Vladivostok, and Shymkent tried their skills in the Russian dictation and English Spelling contests.

Be reminded that registration for other events is still on and will be closed on March 1.

This Saturday, February 20, 2021, following first events will take place:

We wanted to remind you some important procedures:

OPEN

If the students from your school participate in both categories and it takes place at school then you must prepare two classes for both categories.
Each participant must have his or her own seat.
If the participant is going to do one of these events at home then he must make sure there is an internet!
The answer form must be printed out in advance.
You must fill the answer form with a pen (black or blue) or a pencil.
The facility must have a computer and a screen with internet and you must be able to project on the screen.

All the recordings will be uploaded on YouTube in advance. We will send you the link not later than one hour before each broadcast.
If a participant wants to receive the link directly on his email he needs to send his email to nlvladimir@mail.ru before 20.00, February 19, 2021.
The access to the links will automatically open exactly when events start. All participants must be ready to start at a given time. It will be broadcasted ONLY ONCE.
Doing dictation and spelling another day is not allowed!

Guidelines

• If the students of your school are participating in both of the above-mentioned categories and if it takes place at the school then you will need to prepare two different classrooms for each category.

• Each student must have his/her own seat.

• If the participant does dictation or spelling at home then he/she must make sure that their internet connection is good.

• The answer forms will be sent after February 16 to the email addresses that you have submitted in your registration forms.

• The answer forms must be printed out in advance.

• The answer forms must be filled either with a pen (black or blue) or with a pencil.

• The facility must have a computer or TV with internet and with a possibility to project on the screen.

• Before the start of each event we will send you a link for each dictation separately.

• Broadcast should start on time! All participants must be ready to start on time.

• There is no second broadcast, it will be aired only once.

• Doing the dictation or spelling on another day or at a time different from the appointed time is strictly forbidden. We are asking you to take this information into consideration when you • register for these events.

• After the broadcast, the participants will be given no more than ten minutes to check and send their work. Answer forms received after that will be disqualified.

• Email address and phone number will be on the answer forms.
